DOCSIS testing requirements include supporting a full channel load and coexistence of both DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1 signals (in some cases analog TV as well). The R&S®CLGD is the only flexible and compact solution available on the market that can meet these testing requirements. The introduction of much wider bandwidths for DOCSIS 3.1 along with higher constellation modes (up to 16kQAM) require very powerful spectrum and signal analyzers. The measurement setup includes an R&S®FSW or R&S®FSV(A)3000 signal and spectrum analyzer or R&S®VSE compliant instruments with an R&S®SMW200A, R&S®SMM100A or R&S®SMBV100A vector signal generator. The closed loop system enables control of the signal generator and automatic synchronization.

K147 option for FSW and FSV3000
The -K10x options cover the inband measurements of 3GPP LTE and LTE advanced. The R&S®VSE-K100/-K102/-K104 options provide convenient analysis due to automatic detection of modulation formats. Each signal subframe is analyzed and the QPSK, 16QAM or 64QAM modulation formats plus the length of the cyclic prefix are automatically detected and used in the analysis. The cell identity can also be automatically detected, which reduces the number of settings required by the user to a minimum.
