Services : Production Manager

Your tasks

• Responsibility for the people, processes and tooling required to support ‘production & systems integration’. This includes the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment
• Responsibility for ensuring the facilities and infrastructure are available and of suitable specification to meets the needs of users of the production capability assuming sufficient notice and specification of needs has been provided.
• Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives
• Delegate to and oversee the team performing basic / initial electrical and mechanical works to support production test prior to systems integration team transition.
• Plan and control the utilization of the production & systems integration facilities across the Sydney and Brisbane sites to ensure they are effectively utilized and optimized for productivity and the needs of the projects. This includes working with the Director – Service & Operations to determine, implement and monitor production strategies, policies and plans
• Work with the Systems Integration Teams within CD&S
• Develop a team of production technicians who undertake initial electrical and mechanical works prior to handover to the Systems Integration teams.
• Post Factory Acceptance Testing - take ownership of the systems to undertake preparations for shipping.
• Support the PCA in preparation for TRR. The TRR is the responsibility of the V&V Manager.
• Schedule and control works through the productions facilities on a yearly (longer if possible) basis,
• Ensure alignment to EU best practice and company initiatives
• Implementation of required work, health and safety requirements
• Work with the Director – Service & Operations to monitor production output and costs, and adjust processes and resources to minimise costs

Your qualifications

• Several years of relevant professional experience
• In depth understanding of R&S production processes would be an advantage
• Engineering degree
• Relevant management experience
