A partnership agreement has been reached between Rohde & Schwarz and Tutela, the world’s largest mobile network crowdsourcing test company, to bring the most comprehensive insight into network performance and quality to the mobile industry. The existing benchmarking and optimization drive test solutions from Rohde & Schwarz will be enhanced with crowdsourced network performance data and tools from Tutela, enabling mobile network operators to build a complete picture of end users’ Quality of Experience (QoE), benchmark their network against competitors, and prioritize network optimization investments.

NTT DOCOMO INC. and Rohde & Schwarz have joined forces to set up the world's first ultra-wideband channel sounder for mobile communications exceeding 100 GHz. They conducted radio wave propagation experiments at frequencies up to 150 GHz. The frequency bands from 100 GHz to 300 GHz are expected to enable further high-speed and large-capacity communication for the next generation beyond 5G.

À compter du 1er avril 2018, les constructeurs automobiles devront équiper les nouveaux véhicules commercialisés dans l'Union Européenne d'un module eCall. En cas d'accident grave, ce système d'appel d'urgence envoie automatiquement l'information au 112, le numéro de téléphone d'appel d'urgence unique européen, afin d'accélérer les temps de réponses des services d'urgence. L'organisme indépendant CETECOM a déjà certifié la solution de test eCall de Rohde & Schwarz, qui peut être utilisée pour simuler un centre de réception des appels d'urgence, selon la norme européenne. Ceci place les constructeurs et les fournisseurs dans de très bonnes conditions afin qu'ils acceptent les tests relatifs à leurs systèmes d'appel d'urgence installés, d'autant plus que le centre d'appel d'urgence homologue Russe ERA-Glonass peut également être testé avec une extension.
