We are seeking an experienced facility manager for our new office/warehouse in Frederick, Maryland which is the largest site to date in our North American facilities portfolio. This important role requires being onsite every day in order to provide our internal and external customers the best experience possible while maintaining the highest standards in quality and reliability.

Your tasks

  • Accountable for performing as the primary point of contact for the built environment (i.e., facilities and physical security) at the Frederick, Maryland site.
  • Know your customers while understanding how they define success.
  • Execute all daily role functions against the corporate core competencies.
  • Contribute to the Facility Management (FM) team’s ability to minimize facility downtime and business interruptions.
  • Manage vendor partners and third-party contractors such that deliverables are compliant with contractual guidelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Resolve facility service requests in accordance with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure the site consistently reflects R&S standards by remaining healthy, safe, and clear of debris and waste.
  • Deliver customer delight via FM services. (e.g., Fire/Life/Safety, Building Automation Systems, HVAC, Pest Control, Maintenance Types, Waste Management and security).
  • Manage maintenance programs (e.g., preventive, corrective, and predictive) such that the asset’s life cycle is maximized.
  • Procure goods and services in compliance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure tasks are executed collaboratively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Effectively engage in both written (MS Office Suite) and oral (in-person, MS Teams, phone calls) communication with leadership (and stakeholders) for reporting, briefing/debriefing purposes.
  • Stay abreast of current of emerging technologies and trends related to FM.
  • Reports to and collaborates with the North American Facilities Manager on budgets and facility needs.

Your qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in FM, engineering or related field, or at least 10 years’ experience in FM.
  • Industry recognized certification (IFMA, FMA, IREM, BOMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with building automation systems (e.g., Trane Synchrony, Siemens, Carrier, etc.).
  • Understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices to ensure optimal asset performance.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprint, and schematics of architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency using SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies 24/7/365.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

The total compensation for this position is $68K-$95K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
