New compliance test automation software from Rohde & Schwarz for IEEE 802.3 cable assemblies allows for precise and time-saving compliance tests of high-speed cables and backplanes according to the IEEE 802.3bj, by, cd and ck standards. The R&S ZNrun vector network analyzer automation suite controls a vector network analyzer and a switching solution from Rohde & Schwarz to provide automated testing of high-speed Ethernet cable assemblies, considerably reducing the testing time and potential errors compared to manual Ethernet cable assembly test methods. Academia and key industry players have identified the D-Band, ranging from 110 GHz to 170 GHz, as a candidate frequency band for beyond 5G and 6G mobile communications as well as for future automotive radar applications. Kyocera has developed an innovative mmWave phased array antenna module (PAAM) that simultaneously creates multiple beams in different directions at different frequencies. La célula pequeña es una estación base compacta con un diseño más pequeño y una potencia de trasmisión más baja en comparación con la estación base macro convencional. Cubre áreas relativamente pequeñas y da servicio a menos usuarios. Por lo general, la célula pequeña puede integrarse en la red de telefonía celular que se dispone. Con la evolución de la tecnología de acceso radioeléctrico, el papel de la célula pequeña ha venido cambiando a lo largo de esta evolución. En la era 2G/3G, su función fue brindar cobertura en las esquinas (corner cases). Posteriormente, con LTE, las redes no solo proporcionaban cobertura sino también capacidad. Las células pequeñas se utilizaban para proporcionar la capacidad adicional que se requería, sin la necesidad de añadir un espectro adicional. Hoy en día, en la era 5G, los operadores utilizan la densificación como una estrategia importante para brindar servicios de 5G sin interrupciones, los cuales exigen también cobertura, capacidad y rendimiento. Con los casos de uso que requieren despliegues de bandas de ondas milimétricas (mmW) para 5G, tiene sentido utilizar células pequeñas para la densificación debido a las propiedades de propagación que poseen estas ondas.En esta nota de aplicación nos enfocaremos en los aspectos de prueba de una célula pequeña a lo largo del ciclo de vida del producto.
