Rohde & Schwarz North America is seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Production Manager. This position demands effective collaboration with service, production, engineering, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who leverages data and analysis to inform decision-making. They will also be a dynamic leader skilled in implementing solutions within a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position is based in our Frederick, Maryland facility.
Your tasks
- • Management of our system production team including Assembly Technicians, Production Planners and Manufacturing Process Engineers. • Manage all aspects of the production process, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently while meeting quality and customer expectations. • Report out Manufacturing Status to Program Managers in a cross-matrix organization. • Work closely with the Integration Cells to provide a seamless flow of products to systems. • Lead and monitor production employees including Assembly, Test, and Planning, Purchasing and Inventory Control (PPIC) employees, including temporary staff. • Execute production plan by scheduling staff/tasks to meet set production goals and objectives. • Maintain requirements for safety, reliability and compliance for ISO 9001 & AS9100 • Train, coach, and evaluate staff and recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions. • Observe conditions of production floor to identify improvement opportunities and make suggestions for improvement. • Managing and directing the daily activities of production lines workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance • Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services • Responsible for leading production teams, optimizing workflows, and collaborating across departments to ensure on-time delivery, safety compliance, and continuous
