We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role is critical in supporting our sales organization by mining, filtering, cleaning, and analyzing data to drive informed business decisions. You will collaborate with various business functions, including Finance, Program Management, and Sales, to ensure projects are completed successfully and findings are presented clearly to senior management. This position is based in our North American headquarters in Columbia, Maryland and will require being in the office occasionally for team meetings; relocation is not offered for this position.

Your tasks

  • Prepare sales and business forecasting, reporting, and BI tool dashboards and presentations.
  • Manage and update Excel dashboards to ensure compatibility with existing reporting.
  • Oversee revenue reporting and dashboards in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Prepare data and slides for senior and executive management presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Programs office to gather additional program performance data.
  • Support initiatives for global business operations and the North American team.
  • Assist with monthly sales forecasting for North America and provide input to process improvements.
  • Other projects including demand planning with the factory, KPI management, pricing management, staff capacity reporting, budget planning support, and timecard audits, analysis, and loading.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Testing and validation of new systems and processes to meet business requirements

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business administration, finance, or relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an analyst or equivalent, preferably within a sales organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to senior management effectively.
  • Experience with CRM tools and BI reporting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various business functions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to travel 10%

The total compensation for this position is $67K-$95K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
