Other : System/Solutions Architect

Your tasks

• As part of the collaborative Capability Delivery & Sustainment (CD&S) engineering team, deliver high quality and high reliability integrated communications system solutions within a Systems Engineering framework to meet project requirements. The role operates across the Systems Engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification and validation and sustainment. Be a leading practitioner and where assigned take responsibility for:
• The solicitation, definition, capture, and management of requirements in conjunction with other members of the Systems Engineering team.
• The design and development of system architectures for radio and voice switching communication systems including inter and intra system interfaces in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards.
• The development and review of system level engineering design artefacts (including design documents, architectural drawings and technical notes) to ensure alignment between design artefacts and requirements. Additional Duties
• Participation in Design Reviews (internal and with Customers).
• Providing support, including through review of artefacts, to the development of the system/ subsystem design to ensure consistency and integrity with the architecture.
• Provide system architectural advice to support the integration, set to work, and test of communications and voice switching systems to project requirements and specifications.
• Participate in tender support activities.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance as required to peers and engineering team members for assigned relevant domain, product, or area of competence.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferably in Electrical/Electronics/Communications.
• 8 - 10 years or more experience in Systems Engineering, Communications Systems Engineering or similar role.
• Eligible to obtain Australian Citizenship.
• Eligible to obtain an Australian Security Clearance
• Eligible to access/handle export-controlled technology, data, and information.
• Eligible to apply and obtain registration with the National Engineering Register (NER).
• Eligible to apply and obtain registration with the relevant state engineering authority.
