Munich 25-Aug-2025

IEEE EMC Europe 2025 symposium takes place at Sorbonne Université in Paris from September 1 to 5. Rohde & Schwarz will present at booth #16 standalone instruments, software and systems designed to meet various industry standards. The solutions support commercial, automotive, military and aerospace standards, as well as ETSI and FCC.
EMC Compliance testing up to 44 GHz
For EMC compliance testing with CISPR standards Rohde & Schwarz demonstrates the new R&S HF1444G14 high-gain EMI microwave antenna covering 14.9 to 44 GHz. It can fully illuminate the Equipment Under Test (EUT) with a single measurement. When paired with the R&S ESW EMI test receiver, it enables full compliance testing up to 44 GHz.
Unique solutions for emissions testing with new EMI receivers and antennas
The new R&S EPL1007 EMI test receiver is unique with frequency ranges up to 7.125 GHz. Depending on the chosen configuration the instrument can be used for EMI pre-compliance testing or become a CISPR 16-1-1 compliant receiver, suitable for conducted and radiated measurements. The portable device can be operated using batteries, making it convenient for use in various environments and a wide range of applications. Some of these applications will be demonstrated at the show.
R&S ESW, the world's leading EMI test receiver, will also be on display, boasting an impressive FFT bandwidth of up to 970 MHz. This enables fast and reliable measurements of CISPR frequency bands C and D in a single sweep, thanks to its innovative architecture, which offers the widest measurement bandwidth and highest dynamic range available on the market.
Intelligent test automation solutions
The R&S ELEKTRA test software automates EMC testing, controlling the entire system to measure emissions (EMI) and immunity (EMS) of EUT. It simplifies test configuration, speeds up test execution and generates comprehensive test reports, ensuring reliable and repeatable measurement results. The new features of the R&S ELEKTRA EMC software will be demonstrated at the show, including the latest capabilities for immunity testing in reverberation chambers.
EMS immunity and High-power RF / microwave component test solutions
R&S broadband amplifier family R&S®BBA150 in combination with the new generation R&S®BBA300 family cover frequency ranges from 4 kHz up to 18 GHz for power classes up to 13 kW. With a compact and modular design featuring flexibility in frequency as well as power class upgrades, makes them the ideal choice for EMS applications in various industries such as automotive, defense, aerospace as well as wireless communication. Newly introduced family member BBA300-CDE/FG, a dual-band amplifier from 380 MHz to 18 GHz in a 4 HU desktop model, is R&S’s response to the ever-increasing market needs for high power ultrawideband RF / microwave component test set-ups demanding amongst others superior performance across complex modulation schemes.
Power Electronics EMI debugging
Insightful demonstrations on EMI debugging will be shown by the Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes and probing solutions. The R&S®MXO 5 oscilloscope series provides the world’s fastest oscilloscopes with an update rate of more than 4.5 million wfms/s and more than 45k FFT/s for spectrum analysis. They come with up to eight channels in frequency ranges from 100 MHz to 2 GHz. In combination with the isolated Probing System R&S RT-ZISO users can debug digital and power electronic devices very fast. The scope of services extends to wideband radar testing, incorporating PDW (Pulse Description Word) streaming and real-time analysis, along with top-tier pulse stability measurements on radar components.
Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate the R&S FSWT TEMPEST measuring receiver which is designed to analyze unintended electromagnetic emissions and evaluate associated security vulnerabilities. A technical session on the first day of the symposium will feature a presentation of this receiver. Rohde & Schwarz is presenting four technical sessions at the conference:
• Sept 1st: “FFT-based TEMPEST receiver for compromising emanations measurements”
• Sept 4th: “Modular Dual-Ridged Horn Antenna Design for EMC Testing in 14.9 to 44 GHz Range”
• Sept 5th: “EMC Standard Testing in Reverberation Chambers”
• Sept 5th: “Electromagnetic Compatibility Validation on Wide Band Gap Power Electronic Devices”
