Software Development : AI Product Owner (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• AI Strategy & Roadmap: Collaborate with business units, internal stakeholders and customers to define AI solution and service roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Requirement Management: Conduct thorough requirement analysis with stakeholders across various business units to understand their AI needs and translate them into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain a well-groomed product backlog, ensuring that the development team is always working on the most valuable features.
• Sprint Planning & Execution: Lead sprint planning meetings, facilitate daily stand-ups, and participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives as part of an Agile development process.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development and soliciting feedback.
• Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of AI/ML technologies to effectively evaluate technical options and make informed product decisions.
• Quality & Compliance: Validate that delivered features meet business and technical requirements, quality standards, ethical AI principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Market & Technology Awareness: Stay informed about AI trends, technologies, and competitive landscape and understand opportunities as well as implications on roadmaps and delivery.
• Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation for compliance, cost management, auditability, and knowledge transfer.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Product Owner certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner – CSPO) is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on AI/ML or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, RAG, model serving, and data pipelines. You don't need to be a coder, but you must understand the technology.
• Proven experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent requirements gathering and analysis skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear and concise user stories.
• Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to effectively manage a complex product backlog.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Previous experience as a software engineer or data scientist is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with tools for AI model management, deployment, and monitoring (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Sagemaker).
