The Rohde & Schwarz Texas Production and Integration Center (TPIC) produces custom integrated RF systems. We deliver turnkey RF solutions to various customers ranging from the commercial market to the aerospace and defense sectors. Our systems are integrated into a wide variety of solutions including EMC anechoic test chambers, vehicles, and ranges. We are looking for someone to join our world-class operations team to continue to deliver these high-quality products. This experienced and talented individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents in the work center responsible for production of RF racking/cabling and delivering system support devices. They will be responsible for executing our existing build and delivery processes while documenting and training on any procedures required to produce any new products. Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customer’s requirements. This position requires being on-site in our Coppell, TX office five days a week.

Your tasks

  • Support the production of complex Communication/EMI/EMC racks and associated products with a focus on cost and quality.
  • Create CRDLs, standard work, assembly instructions, workmanship standards and process flow diagrams.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement projects
  • Assist in the training of staff in new and existing processes
  • Implement LEAN practices into daily work including Tracking of KPI's, Kaizen Events, A3 Documentation, 5S practices, One Piece Flow and others.
  • Create reports/presentations and contributes on presentations/demonstrations to team members and/or management
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
  • Enforce company standards and procedures
  • Use basic hand tools and material handling equipment

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, BSEE preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience in process engineering
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience, ability to develop and use systemic procedures to resolve problems.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Well-versed in relevant software CAD, MS Office programs.
  • Experience with Lean practices and working within a Quality Management System is required.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to meet the qualifications of TSA for on-site work.
  • To be considered, candidate must be a U.S. person and be eligible to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $66K-$100K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
