AFMETCAL, the Air Force Metrology and Calibration Authority, has been seeking to purchase microwave measurement receivers (MMR) for its precision measurement equipment laboratories (PMEL’s) and Air Force primary standards laboratory (AFPSL). According to these requirements Rohde & Schwarz has developed the R&S FSMR3000AF measuring receiver to calibrate signal generators and attenuators with one single instrument. Most important features provided are tuned RF level measurements, level measurements, analog modulation and spectrum analysis. This is the second order in between months, which AFMETCAL has placed with Rohde & Schwarz.

This application note describes topics such as: characteristics and implementation of RF signal paths, image responses etc. for the R&S®ESW EMI test receiver.

More and more devices will share the radio spectrum in the coming years. The R&S®ESMW helps regulators keep pace. The ultrawideband radiomonitoring receiver for frequencies up to 40 GHz is suitable for fixed installations, measurement vehicles and transportable systems and comes with 125 MHz real-time bandwidth and optional extensions of up to 2 GHz.

The R&S®CS-MC53 microwave converter extends the frequency range of the R&S®EM200 digital compact receiver and the R&S®UMS400 universal monitoring system (both combined with the R&S®CS-MC20 microwave converter) as well as the R&S®ESMW ultra wideband monitoring receiver from 17 GHz to 53 GHz and supports up to 500 MHz real-time bandwidth.
