As part of our newly established Production team, the Electronic Engineering Technicians conduct tests of electronic systems, collect and analyse data, and execute assembly and cable production orders for the engineering team
Your tasks
Technical leadership & coaching
Technical guidance, training and practical coaching for the team members.
Setting up and maintaining a skill matrix; conducting practical training courses using R&S processes for rack mounting, cabling, cable production and rework loops.
Conducting checklists and supporting quality assessments.
Production & quality
Ensure correct execution of assembly orders according to work instructions, drawings and parts lists.
Ensure correct execution of cable production orders according to work instructions and the necessary documentation (specifications, drawings, contracts and regulations where relevant).
Identification of recurring errors, support in root cause analysis and initiation of technical corrective measures.
Coordination & task distribution (no shift planning)
Distribute and prioritise tasks within regular daily production, ensuring team members know what to do next.
Alignment with engineering, quality and stock regarding material and drawings.
Conducting a daily shopfloor meeting to ensure the necessary information for the team, improving quality through structured problem solving and regular exchange with the interface partners.
Maintenance of production documents in SAP/ Share-Point
Reporting relevant technical KPIs to the manager.
Process Improvement & Maintenance
Initiation & Contribution to improvement measures (5S, Kaizen) to increase quality and efficiency.
Ensure availability and proper use of tools and test equipment

Practical experience in mechanical assembly, cable assembly/looming, cabling and electrical testing.
Practical experience with crimping, soldering, cable termination and test equipment (torque tester, multimeter, ...).
Reliable reading of circuit diagrams and rack mounting drawings.
Good IT skills (ERP, MS Excel, test software).
Expertise and didactic skills for hands-on training.
High quality awareness, structured working methods and a hands-on mentality.

Compensation between 85,000 – 92,000 AUD base per annum, skill and experience dependent.
