LTE-U device certification in the 5 GHz band

Rohde & Schwarz demonstrated the first conformance test cases for LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation in a licensed and unlicensed spectrum at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona. Using the R&S®TS8980 RF test system up to two carriers in the unlicensed spectrum above 5 GHz can be aggregated to the first carrier in a licensed spectrum. The test cases have been implemented in line with the LTE-U test specification.
