KT has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI Solutions to develop non-terrestrial network (NTN) technology that overcomes the disadvantages of long propagation delays in satellite communication environments. With this technology, a bandwidth of more than 10 Mbps is possible even between a geostationary (GEO) satellite and user device. This increased transmission efficiency was leveraged to successfully transmit full HD video. Visitors to Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona can see a demonstration of this technology at the KT booth in Hall 4, Stand 4A60.

Kyocera has developed an innovative mmWave phased array antenna module (PAAM) that simultaneously creates multiple beams in different directions at different frequencies. In a recent demonstration, IEMN reached a milestone when researchers achieved generated a 300 GHz bidirectional link over an outdoor distance of 645 m for use in future 6G backhauling scenarios. The R&S SMA100B provides an ultra-low phase noise signal that helps accelerate THz communications research and development to ready it for industrialization.

The 10BASE-T1S Ethernet to Edge Bus, named E2B™, from ADI provides a low complexity, high flexibility edge node implementation for automotive applications. The oscilloscope, renowned for its fast update rate and deep memory, is proficient in capturing, triggering and decoding packets quickly as well as capturing both the big picture and smallest details of electrical signals with unparalleled accuracy. It is also able to detect intermittent faults in the communication bus with fast acquisitions.

For precise and time-saving compliance testing of the latest generation PCIe 5.0 and 6.0 cables and connectors in line with PCI-SIG specifications, Rohde & Schwarz is developing a new R&S ZNrun vector network analyzer automation suite option. For a fully automated verification of a PCIe x8 cable, for instance, the software controls a setup with R&S ZNB vector network analyzer plus scalable R&S OSP switch matrix configuration, creating a multiport VNA solution with 64 test ports. The solution reduces testing times for PCIe x8 cables to just a few minutes for complete test runs with all Thru and all crosstalk combinations plus corresponding metric calculations for Pass/Fail evaluations. By comparison, manual testing takes several hours and involves major risk of connection errors by test engineers.
