With a completely new family of high performance LCR meters, the frequency range of impedance measurements provided by Rohde & Schwarz test equipment is dramatically extended to cover AC components operating from 4 Hz to 10 MHz, supporting all practical applications. The R&S LCX family of LCR meters serves all established impedance measurements plus specialized measurements for selected component types and provides both, the high accuracy required in R&D, and the high speed needed in production test and quality assurance.

Rohde & Schwarz is joining to demonstrate its latest test solutions for developers of power supplies and other power electronics. The company’s experts share their know-how about applications like stability analysis, power integrity and component testing as well as EMI debugging and EMI precompliance testing at the Rohde & Schwarz booth 452 in hall 7.

Este documento descreve a caracterização de capacitores eletrolíticos de alumínio, especificamente usados em aplicações de conversores de energia elétrica contínua e corrente alternada (AC-DC). Ele explicará por que essa tecnologia de capacitor é decisiva para a durabilidade e por que ela não pode ser simplesmente substituída por outra tecnologia de capacitor. Serão discutidos os diferentes efeitos de envelhecimento do capacitor. Será apresentada a utilização do capacitor em diferentes topologias de energia elétrica contínua e corrente alternada (AC-DC). Os circuitos de simulação serão usados para analisar o capacitor com mais detalhes antes de as medições apropriadas serem realizadas para demonstrar um exemplo real de fonte de alimentação no modo chaveado (SMPS).Depois de apresentar os conceitos básicos e a teoria sobre os capacitores eletrolíticos de alumínio, este documento apresentará também todas as medições importantes e possíveis dos parâmetros de capacitor, como capacitância, resistência de série equivalente (ESR) e corrente de ripple. Inclusive, a medição no circuito, que pode ser realizada com um osciloscópio. Uma ponte LCR é usada para obter medições adicionais de alta precisão. Uma comparação entre os dois métodos de medição será apresentada. Além disso, o hardware de medição necessário para medições no circuito e a medição de ponte será apresentado e debatido.Por fim, serão apresentados dois métodos diferentes de cálculo de durabilidade e será usado um exemplo real para comparar as vantagens e as desvantagens dos diferentes métodos.Agradeço ao Sr. Frank Puhane da Würth eiSos GmbH & Co.
