The R&S TS8991 over-the-air (OTA) test system from Rohde & Schwarz is the first to be approved by CTIA Certification for testing 5G A-GNSS antenna performance. This solution measures the performance of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver in a wireless device. This is critical because Assisted-GNSS is used for E911 emergency calls over 5G.

Solutions et astuces pour le NR FR1 en mode à liaison descendante TDD

La 5G New Radio (NR) est une technologie radio spécifiée par la 3GPP et qui est apparue pour la première fois dans la 3GPP communiqué 15. Elle a été conçue pour cibler trois cas d'utilisation, par exemple les services mobiles à large bande améliorés (eMBB), les communications de type machine massives (mMTC) et les communications à très faible latence ultra fiables (URLLC). Parmi ces trois cas d'utilisation, l'eMBB représente en fait une nouvelle évolution des communications mobiles large bande à partir de la norme LTE. Selon l'exigence de performance technique définie par l'IMT-2020, en déployant la technologie 5G, les flux de données crêtes des applications eMBB sont prévus d'atteindre 20 Gbps en liaison descendante (DL) et 10 Gbps en liaison montante (UL), respectivement. Les cas d'utilisation typiques de l'eMBB sont des applications avides de données, telles que le streaming vidéo 8K haute résolution, la réalité virtuelle (VR), la réalité augmentée (AR) etc.La vérification d'un équipement utilisateur (UE) compatible 5G avec le respect de son flux de données maximal atteignable dans des conditions de test contrôlables et décidées, est un processus essentiel pendant la phase de conception du produit. La vérification axée sur la performance, grâce à l'identification de l'engorgement du débit de données et à la comparaison du produit par rapport à un appareil étalon, améliore considérablement au final l'expérience utilisateur.Ce document se focalise sur la gamme de fréquence 1 (FR1) de la 5G NR avec le mode TDD duplex dans le mode de fonctionnement E-UTRAN New-radio Dual Connectivity (ENDC). Puisque la couche physique de la 5G NR propose pléthore de flexibilité, la motivation ici est de fournir une sorte de guide des réglages des paramètres pertinents, afin de simuler la capacité de débit maximale du dispositif sous test (DUT). Le statu quo des solutions R&S au moment de la création de la note d'application est décrit. KT has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI Solutions to develop non-terrestrial network (NTN) technology that overcomes the disadvantages of long propagation delays in satellite communication environments. With this technology, a bandwidth of more than 10 Mbps is possible even between a geostationary (GEO) satellite and user device. This increased transmission efficiency was leveraged to successfully transmit full HD video.
