Oscilloscope software

R&S®RTP, R&S®RTO and R&S®RTE oscilloscopes support triggering and decoding of SpaceWire data and communications buses. Decoding can be set up in seconds. Results can be viewed as color-coded protocols and/or in a table for detailed analysis. Errors are identified efficiently and reliably with the hardware-accelerated trigger. Trigger on control frame, data pattern, NULL frames, time codes and error conditions.

Fast bus setup

Bus setup in seconds with the app cockpit

Any protocol can be configured in only a few steps from the app cockpit. Once a bus is selected for decoding along with the connected channels and the correct levels set, decoding begins automatically.

Color-coded protocol display

Protocol display as color-coded bus signals and in decode table

You can analyze the decoded bus frames by overlaying the signal with color-coded data. Address and data content can be displayed in hex, bin and ASCII formats. The flexible screen setup always gives an excellent overview. The protocols can also be displayed in a concise table.

Strong trigger capability

Strong triggering on control frames, data patterns, NULL frames, time codes and error conditions

Reliable isolation of protocol events and errors is possible with the protocol-specific trigger. Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes are ideal for finding errors quickly thanks to high acquisition rates that decode protocol-specific trigger results. Hardware-based triggering on specific protocol content (addresses or data) and protocol errors is available.

Search and navigate in recorded acquisitions

Powerful search and navigation capabilities

Comprehensive search functions make analyzing long signal sequences easier. Search for waveforms based on signal faults, protocol content and other criteria. All detected events are displayed in a table with timestamps. The individual events can be examined in a zoom window and navigating between events is simple.
