The next Bluetooth® release is expected to be ratified soon. One important new feature is the Unified Test Protocol (UTP) Test Mode for Bluetooth® Low Energy, that will complement existing test methods. The UTP Test Mode will additionally enable over-the-air (OTA) controlled device testing, which will simplify measurements of small and highly integrated devices enormously, since no direct wired connection to the tester is needed. Rohde & Schwarz and Ceva, in close cooperation, have developed the world’s first test solution for this new test mode, making its debut at embedded world 2025.

Rohde & Schwarz and Pegatron 5G present a test setup optimized for O-RU production testing. The demonstration at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona is based on the PVT360A performance vector tester from Rohde & Schwarz characterizing the Pegatron 5G PR1450 O-RU. It shows the flexible adaptability of the PVT360A to a variety of setups – all in a small form factor. The performance vector tester is now available with a new high-power option, also showcased at MWC 2025.

At Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, visitors can experience the joint O-RU test solution of the two T&M companies as it verifies the low power consumption of Analog Devices’ new Titan O-RU platform according to ETSI specifications. KT has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI Solutions to develop non-terrestrial network (NTN) technology that overcomes the disadvantages of long propagation delays in satellite communication environments. With this technology, a bandwidth of more than 10 Mbps is possible even between a geostationary (GEO) satellite and user device. This increased transmission efficiency was leveraged to successfully transmit full HD video.
