Rohde & Schwarz and HEAD acoustics demonstrate test solution for 5G voice over NR (VoNR) voice serviceTogether with HEAD acoustics, Rohde & Schwarz has successfully verified voice services over 5G NR (VoNR). The test solution employs the latest generation of the R&S CMX500 wideband radio communication tester, combined with the labCORE hardware platform from HEAD acoustics and their ACQUA measurement and analysis software. This setup allows simulation of a voice connection in both 5G (VoNR) and 4G (VoLTE) networks. This enables manufacturers of 5G capable telecommunications devices to test the voice quality of their devices at an early stage before market introduction. The solution was presented at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai in February 2021 for the first time.

Soluciones y consejos para NR FR1 en modo de enlace descendente con TDD
5G New Radio (NR) es una tecnología de radiotransmisión especificada por 3GPP y se publicó por primera vez en la release 15 de 3GPP. Está diseñada para dar respuesta a tres casos de uso, a saber: banda ancha móvil mejorada (eMBB), comunicaciones tipo máquina masivas (mMTC) y comunicaciones de ultra-alta fiabilidad y baja latencia (URLLC). De estos tres casos de uso, eMBB representa en realidad un paso evolutivo de la comunicación de banda ancha móvil del estándar LTE. Conforme a los requisitos de rendimiento técnico que define IMT-2020, con el despliegue de la tecnología 5G se esperan con la aplicación eMBB velocidades de transferencia de datos máximas de hasta 20 Gbps en el enlace descendente (DL) y de 10 Gbps en el enlace ascendente (UL), respectivamente. Los casos de uso típicos de eMBB son aplicaciones con alto consumo de datos, como el streaming de vídeo en 8K de alta definición, realidad virtual (VR), realidad aumentada (AR), etc.La verificación de un equipo de usuario (UE) compatible para 5G en cuanto a su caudal de datos máximo en condiciones de test controlables y determinísticas es un proceso fundamental durante la fase de diseño del producto. La verificación enfocada en el rendimiento mediante la identificación de cuellos de botella que frenan el caudal de datos, la evaluación comparativa de productos con respecto a un «golden device», mejora de forma decisiva la experiencia de usuario.Este documento se centra en el rango de frecuencias 1 (FR1) de 5G NR con modo dúplex por división de tiempo (TDD) en modo de operación E-UTRAN New-radio Dual Connectivity (ENDC). Puesto que la capa física de 5G NR ofrece una enorme flexibilidad, la motivación consiste aquí en aportar algo similar a una pauta de ajustes de parámetros relevantes para estimular la capacidad de rendimiento máximo del dispositivo bajo prueba (DUT).
