Project Management : Program Manager (m/f/d) Naval ESM

Your tasks

• Leading a team of 3 direct reports
• Establishing a program management structure for maritime ESM projects by aligning all relevant projects within the matrix
• Comprehensive oversight of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects which includes coordinating resources and workflows across different teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Accountable for meeting commercial objectives of each project (profit and loss) and aligning them with the company’s operational needs and strategic priorities
• Adherence to project management standards and frameworks
• Conducting central claim management for all projects
• Representation in executive and customer meetings which involves presenting project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring that both internal and client expectations are aligned with project deliverables and timelines
• Central interface for suppliers and development departments, allowing for streamlined coordination and a clear, unified channel for managing external and internal partnerships
• Priority control and cross-project reporting by prioritizing projects based on business goals and creating a centralized reporting system

Your qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, physics, informatics or in a relevant business field
• 10+ years experience in managing complex projects in the aerospace & defense domain
• Experience in maritime projects and/ or in the area of SIGINT/EW is a plus
• Extensive experience and expertise in managing projects based on the system engineering model for integrating various technologies and cross-functional matrix organizations
• Strong problem-solving, system-thinking and analytical skills to simplify and solve complex problems
• Solid understanding of business and finance to deliver results in a fast moving and challenging environment
• Ability to balance ambition and assertiveness with sensitivity in working with a complex project matrix
• Proven leadership experience and skills to motivate, develop, engage, enable and empower teams in an international environment to achieve high performance results and facilitate trust and transparency
• Fluent in German and English
