In the evolving 5G landscape, channel-state information (CSI) is essential for optimizing network performance and user capacity. AI/ML-driven CSI enhancements promise even greater efficiency, reduced overhead, and improved user experience in 5G-Advanced and future 6G networks. However, implementation across vendors will be challenging. Rohde & Schwarz and Qualcomm Technologies have achieved an industry milestone by demonstrating cross-vendor interoperability of ML-based CSI feedback enhancements, to be showcased at MWC 2025 in Barcelona.

Rohde & Schwarz has collaborated with Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) to create a wide range of tests for Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL) devices. The GMSL technology from ADI provides a cost-efficient, scalable, and simple SerDes solution designed to improve performance for high-speed video links, primarily used in In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) in vehicles. Rohde & Schwarz in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will conduct a comprehensive set of tests for NB-IoT over non-terrestrial networks (NTN) to accurately verify two-way internet of things (IoT) data across various operating modes using GSO and GEO constellations in line with the 3GPP Release 17. At the MWC Shanghai 2023, Rohde & Schwarz will hold a live demonstration of the test solution at the company’s booth with Qualcomm Technologies’ NTN Release 17 IoT chipsets.

Rohde & Schwarz has developed the R&S RT-ZISO isolated probing system, further elevating its cutting-edge oscilloscope portfolio. The new R&S RT-ZISO enables extremely accurate measurements of fast switching signals, especially in environments with high common-mode voltages and currents. Also new is the R&S RT-ZPMMCX passive probe with MMCX connector, which complements the isolated probe system perfectly for certain measurement tasks.
