Rohde & Schwarz has partnered with Bullitt and MediaTek to fully test and verify the world’s first satellite-to-mobile messaging 5G smartphone in line with 3GPP Release 17. The groundbreaking test solution from Rohde & Schwarz verifies that SOS messaging and two-way messaging work reliably in no-coverage scenarios via non-terrestrial networks (NTN) in line with 3GPP. At MWC Barcelona, a test setup is showcased at the Rohde & Schwarz booth featuring a rugged 5G smartphone from Bullitt with integrated MediaTek 3GPP NTN Rel.17 chipset as DUT.

The solution consists of the SMBV100B GNSS simulator emulating the satellite constellation, the RTM oscilloscope to analyze the 1 pulse per second timing and the NGC power supply to perform standard-compliant power on/off steps.

A new regulation requires all smartphones sold in the European Union from March 2022 onwards to support caller location for 112 emergency calls. В этом руководстве по применению описывается, как легко и быстро провести все необходимые испытания радиочастотных передатчиков (TS 38.141-1, глава 6), в соответствии с версией 16, при помощи анализаторов спектра или сигналов компании Rohde & Schwarz — вручную или в режиме дистанционного управления. Для некоторых испытаний дополнительно требуются генераторы сигналов компании Rohde & Schwarz.Вместе с этим руководством по применению дополнительно предоставляется образец ПО для демонстрации испытаний базовых станций в режиме дистанционного управления. At Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2022 in Stuttgart, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate a wide range of advanced test solutions that support automotive applications. In the focus of the company at the show will be C-V2X, GNSS and automotive radar solutions which pave the way for the realization of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Another important topics are connectivity test solutions for Automotive Ethernet, 5G and UWB.

This application note addresses the diverse possibilities of interoperability between Rohde & Schwarz power sensors and Rohde & Schwarz signal generators. All current and many legacy Rohde & Schwarz signal generators offer the capability of directly connecting power sensors. This enables power measurements without the need of a base unit or separate PC to display the readings. Furthermore, sensors can be used for special tasks like filling a user correction table or continuously controlling levels at crucial points in the measurement configuration.
