The R&S Applied Solutions Organization is seeking a Solutions Support Manager to lead a team of solutions engineers supporting complex test system installations. This role requires an experienced leader to manage a very talented group of Engineers across multiple locations in the US. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced technical environment alongside R&D, business development; sales management and customer service to provide systems support to a wide range of test systems. As the systems support manager for ASO, this person will help develop and lead efforts that improve the customer experience with R&S systems and drive future growth initiatives. The preferred location for this position is the DFW area or the San Francisco Bay area but other locations will be considered for exceptional candidates.
Your tasks
- Must have a very high technical level of knowledge with Over-The-Air (OTA) Antenna Performance test systems, especially those covering CTIA antenna performance requirements.
- Have extensive experience in wireless signaling (especially LTE, 5G and WLAN)
- Provide guidance and leadership for a group of highly skilled technical AEs and AE Managers
- Have extensive experience in wireless protocol test, as well as antenna measurement experience.
- Possess a high degree of patience and skill in supporting customer’s complex test applications
- Able to work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Act as a technical adviser in post-sales systems support planning.
- Able to construct support plans/agreements.
- Periodically assist in pre-sales support with strategic projects and customers.
- Maintain customer relationships and address their support requirements and concerns
- Optimize customer support plans and prioritization
- Oversee and continuously improve R&S OTA solutions support.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, and cross-team communication
