Manufacturers of wireless and mobile devices require OTA test solutions that easily adapt to new technologies without significant investment. MVG addresses this need by integrating the full Wi-Fi® (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) access point and station testing functionality of the CMX500 from Rohde & Schwarz into its WaveStudio Software Suite. In addition, the software now supports 5G NR Non-Standalone (EN-DC) testing with the CMX500. These expansions allow MVG's multiprobe measurement systems to fully support Wi-Fi® and cellular standards – including 5G NR Standalone (SA), 5G NR Non-Standalone (EN-DC), RedCap, and LTE (FDD & TDD) – all within a single tester.
Pierre Jurek, MVG’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: “The integration of WLAN testing and the further expanded cellular testing capabilities with Rohde & Schwarz are a significant milestone, enabling our customers to test all essential current transmission standards in our OTA test systems with just one CMX500 signaling tester.”
Christoph Pointner, Senior Vice President of Mobile Radio Testers at Rohde & Schwarz, said: “This integration allows manufacturers using a CMX500 OBT in an MVG multiprobe OTA measurement system to maximize the benefits of the CMX500’s extensive test functions which supports testing of all WLAN standards including the latest Wi-Fi® 7, in addition to 4G and 5G mobile signals.”
