AFMETCAL, the Air Force Metrology and Calibration Authority, has been seeking to purchase microwave measurement receivers (MMR) for its precision measurement equipment laboratories (PMEL’s) and Air Force primary standards laboratory (AFPSL). According to these requirements Rohde & Schwarz has developed the R&S FSMR3000AF measuring receiver to calibrate signal generators and attenuators with one single instrument. Most important features provided are tuned RF level measurements, level measurements, analog modulation and spectrum analysis. The PTCRB certification organization has approved the first radio ressource management (RRM) conformance test cases for FR2 with two angles of arrival (2xAoA), using the R&S TS-RRM-NR 5G RRM conformance test system from Rohde & Schwarz. The test cases have been validated in multiple FR2 EN-DC band combinations, using the new R&S ATS1800M CATR based multi-AoA anechoic chamber.

Rohde & Schwarz China and Zhuhai DingLi Corp., Ltd. have won the 2021 China Mobile centralized procurement project for 5G scanners. The R&S TSME6 drive test scanner has an ultracompact design and multiband, multitechnology support for simultaneous measurements. It scored a 70 % share of the project. This is the third consecutive China Mobile tender awarded to frequency scanners from Rohde & Schwarz. The R&S TSME6 has industry-leading features and performance, making it a reliable measurement instrument for the China Mobile 5G network deployment and optimization in the field.
