Rohde & Schwarz is looking for a dynamic, experienced technical Project Manager to join our Program Management team at our Coppell, TX office. This role offers the perfect balance of strategic leadership and technical expertise, where you’ll support the sales, planning, and execution phases for a variety of system engineering projects. You’ll be at the forefront of driving project success, interfacing with key departments across the USA and our global organizations. Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Programs, you’ll have the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of both commercial and government customer projects, showcasing your ability to support multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. With your solid project management skills, exceptional organization, adaptability, leadership and attention to detail, you’ll help propel projects forward while maintaining strong relationships with both external customers and internal stakeholders. Ideal candidates will bring strong project management experience along with the ability to navigate high level technical engineering details through the Sales, System Engineering, and Project Execution processes. A PMP certification is highly preferred. This is a hybrid work environment based out of our DFW-area office. US citizenship is required for this role.

Your tasks

  • Project Management Execution – Lead the planning and execution of medium to large System Engineering projects to meet customer’s and internal stakeholders’ expectations
  • Act as the primary customer interface for the entire project execution, including leading the team for customer kickoff meetings, design reviews, project installation and training
  • Manage teams of sales, system architecture and engineering, design, mechanical engineering, production, order management, procurement and contracts
  • Develop, execute and track project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, communication plans, etc.
  • Track action items and change orders and the associated resolutions
  • Assist in managing / tracking of R&S product deliveries
  • Develop and present project status reports
  • Use customer management skills to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Act as the lead for customer issue resolution during execution phases of projects
  • Support subcontractor management for project execution
  • Interface with our parent company in Germany and Subsidiary Partners
  • Prepare Statements of Work, Risk Analysis, SOW Task Estimates
  • Support Sales in the development of proposals and quotations
  • Domestic and/or Overseas Travel <15%

Your qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required
  • BA/BS: Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in technical Project Management
  • Experience in the U.S. Government systems engineering projects execution is highly desired
  • Experience managing systems engineering or development projects is a plus
  • Technical understanding in facets of system engineering background is a plus
  • Skilled in use of MS Excel / MS Project / Smartsheet / SharePoint for reporting and project planning
  • Exceptional customer management and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task by supporting multiple simultaneous projects and remain detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to create well organized clear presentation of information in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of SAP
  • Experience managing international suppliers is a plus
  • PMP Certification is highly desired
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have US citizenship.

The total compensation for this position is $80K-$115K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
