At the EMV 2025 tradeshow in Stuttgart, Rohde & Schwarz displays for the first time its R&S HF1444G14 High-gain EMI microwave antenna with outstanding performance. The antenna covers a frequency range from 14.9 GHz to 44 GHz. It meets the requirements of the standards CISPR 16-1-4 and CISPR 16-2-3. Precise mechanical construction and optionally available individual calibration make the antenna ideal for electromagnetic interference measurements. The Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN, Lille, France) and Rohde & Schwarz have expanded their collaboration to research THz communications that utilize photonic technologies. In a recent demonstration, IEMN reached a milestone when researchers achieved generated a 300 GHz bidirectional link over an outdoor distance of 645 m for use in future 6G backhauling scenarios. The R&S SMA100B microwave signal generator from Rohde & Schwarz was a crucial component in the performance test setup. Rohde & Schwarz is launching the new R&S NRP170TWG(N) thermal power sensor for precise power level measurements in the D-band. It is the only RF power sensor on the market that offers full traceability to national metrology institutes (NMI) in the frequency range from 110 GHz to 170 GHz, an important prerequisite for commercializing the frequency band.
