It is a key element in fixed, mobile and transportable spectrum monitoring stations. Combined with a single-channel direction finder, R&S ADD597 delivers reliable measurement results even in dense spectrum environments. It covers the frequency range from 20 MHz to 8.5 GHz (vertical polarization) and 20 MHz to 7.5 GHz (horizontal polarization).

In collaboration with the Berkeley Wireless Research Center (BWRC), the test and measurement expert has successfully characterized a TX/RX multi-antenna chip (CHARM) operating at up to 140 GHz, using their D-Band over-the-air (OTA) test chamber. Academia and industry leaders agree that the 110 GHz to 170 GHz frequency range, known as D-Band, is critical for beyond 5G and 6G mobile communications and future automotive radar applications.
The R&S®CS-MC20 microwave downconverter extends the frequency range of the R&S®EM200 and R&S®UMS400 receivers up to 20 GHz and is fully controlled by the receiver. In combination with the R&S®HF907OM omnidirectional monitoring antenna, a wide range of applications can be addressed.
The R&S®MC40 extends the frequency range of modern 18 GHz to 40 GHz monitoring systems.
