The Global Certification Forum (GCF) has approved the first two radio ressource management (RRM) conformance test cases for 5G FR2 frequencies, implemented on the R&S TS-RRM-NR 5G RRM conformance test system from Rohde & Schwarz. Das 5G-NR-Anwendungsprofil Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) unterstützt immer höhere Endnutzer-Datenraten und wachsende Systemkapazitäten, die aufgrund der Integration einer steigenden Anzahl internetbasierter Dienste und Anwendungen in Mobilfunkgeräte erforderlich werden. Auf dem MWC21 demonstrieren die Messgerätespezialisten Rohde & Schwarz und VIAVI Solutions gemeinsam ein Ende-zu-Ende-Testszenario für 5G-NR-eMBB im 5G-SA-Modus (5G Standalone), in dem erstmals ein Hochgeschwindigkeits-Datendurchsatz jenseits von 7,5 Gbps realisiert wird. Diese Demonstration ist der erste Schritt auf dem Weg zu künftigen Datenraten bis zu 10 Gbps. Der sehr hohe Datendurchsatz bedeutet, dass Mobilfunkteilnehmer in Kürze 4K-Videostreams empfangen und die Vorteile von Augmented Reality (erweiterte Realität) nutzen können.
