Are you familiar with the world of Defense, Security, and/or Critical Infrastructure? Are you just as enthusiastic about the latest communication and RF technologies as we are? Rohde & Schwarz develops and supplies high-quality electronic measurement and analysis equipment and communication systems. Our customers are mainly located in the industry and government (related) organizations with a focus on safety, critical infrastructure, and defense. You will focus on the sales of our products and systems in these segments. You are able to build successful long-term relationships with decision-makers at all levels. You do this by regularly visiting customers and mapping their needs. You propose solutions and know how to enthuse decision-makers about our Rohde & Schwarz products. In addition to these activities, you support our sales team, generate leads, and follow up on them. The function is a broad one, covering various commercial disciplines. You work closely with our local and international colleagues who are active in sales, product management, project management, and engineering.

Your tasks

  • Building and expanding long-term relationships with our customers.
  • Investigating customer needs and, if necessary, providing technical product presentations at the customer's location.
  • Experience with organizations focused on safety, critical infrastructure, and defense.
  • As a knowledge holder of our products, you are the sparring partner for our customers.
  • Developing a sales plan and strategy, for which you are also responsible for follow-up.
  • Identifying and generating sales opportunities with (potential) customers and, in collaboration with the local sales team, following up on these leads.
  • Working on (and contributing to) tender projects.
  • Visiting relevant trade fairs, expos, and seminars.

Your qualifications

  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) working and thinking level in the direction of Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechatronics or similar.
  • Experience within the world of defense or (sales) experience with government institutions and military customers.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of military and civil communication technologies and products is a major advantage.
  • You are familiar with the importance of a good sales strategy and know how to develop and execute a good sales plan to achieve success.
  • Willingness to travel, mainly within Europe.
  • You have knowledge and experience with complex quotation and/or tender processes.
  • You are a team player, have strong communication skills, and can bring out the best in yourself and your colleagues under pressure.
