At the i14y Lab, Rohde & Schwarz, VIAVI and Benetel combined their industry-leading capabilities to showcase their integrated, automated testing solution for the conformance testing of O-RAN radio units (O-RUs). This solution was used to test the commercial grade 4T4R RAN650 O-RU from Benetel according to O-RAN ALLIANCE and 3GPP specifications.

The United States Department of Commerce will provide funding to promote the deployment of open networks in the U.S. and abroad. Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI offer joint test solutions to meet the needs of radio equipment manufacturers who plan to apply for the funding.

This consists of VIAVI’s TM500 O-RU Tester, the R&S®SMW200A high-performance vector signal generator and the R&S®FSVA3000 signal and spectrum analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz. ORAN, R&S®SMW200A, R&S®FSVA3000, FE44S , VIAVI RU Tester, MTS5800, O-RU (from ADI) O-RAN, with option 7-2 split, enables the disaggregation of Radio Access Networks.
