Rohde & Schwarz is first to submit 5G Next Generation eCall (NGeCall) protocol test cases to the 3GPP Global Certification Forum (GCF). The company is also launching a new 5G NGeCall application option that simulates the public safety answering point (PSAP) functions required for the end-to-end conformance tests that verify the interoperability of the equipment under test for the complete communication exchange. 5G New Radio (NR) è una tecnologia radio definita dal 3GPP e rilasciata per la prima volta nella release 15 delle specifiche tecniche 3GPP. È stata progettata per tre casi d'uso: banda larga mobile potenziata (eMBB), comunicazione massiva tra macchine (mMTC) e comunicazione ultra-affidabile a bassa latenza (URLLC). Fra questi tre casi d'uso, l'eMBB rappresenta in realtà un'ulteriore evoluzione della comunicazione mobile a banda larga rispetto allo standard LTE. In base ai requisiti tecnici prestazionali definiti da IMT-2020, con l'implementazione della tecnologia 5G le velocità di picco dei dati delle applicazioni eMBB dovrebbero raggiungere rispettivamente 20 Gbps in downlink (DL) e 10 Gbps in uplink (UL). I casi d'uso tipici dell'eMBB sono le applicazioni affamate di dati, come lo streaming video 8K ad alta risoluzione, la realtà virtuale (VR), la realtà aumentata (AR), ecc.La verifica di un'apparecchiatura utente (UE) in grado di funzionare con il 5G rispetto al massimo throughput di dati raggiungibile in condizioni di test controllabili e deterministiche è un processo essenziale durante la fase di progettazione del prodotto. La verifica delle prestazioni reali attraverso l'identificazione del collo di bottiglia della velocità media effettiva (throughput) della trasmissione dati l’analisi e l'analisi comparativa del prodotto rispetto a un dispositivo campione migliorano enormemente l'esperienza dell'utente.Questo documento si concentra sulle bande di frequenza 1 (FR1) delle reti 5G NR in modalità duplex TDD e modalità operativa E-UTRAN New-radio Dual Connectivity (ENDC). KT has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI Solutions to develop non-terrestrial network (NTN) technology that overcomes the disadvantages of long propagation delays in satellite communication environments. With this technology, a bandwidth of more than 10 Mbps is possible even between a geostationary (GEO) satellite and user device.
