As the planned successor to the widely deployed 5G (IMT2020), 6G aims to challenge the limits of connectivity. While research initiatives have been underway for several years, formal 3GPP standardization efforts have only recently commenced. A 3GPP workshop in March 2025 marked a significant step forward, and discussions regarding the 6G spectrum also took place at the World Radio Conference (WRC) in Dubai in November 2023. 6G is still in its early developmental stages, but many companies have already initiated projects aimed at launching commercial equipment around 2030. This proactive approach necessitates the advance availability of test and measurement tools.
In this webinar, we explore the 6G spectrum landscape, highlighting both the spectrum that has been researched and the specific bands targeted for commercial deployment. Additionally, we will discuss potential waveforms across various spectrum ranges.
Attendees will learn about:
- The 6G standardization roadmap in 3GPP and ITU
- Potential 6G spectrum bands, with a focus on the spectrum between current 5G FR1 and FR2 bands
- 6G waveform candidates and their relevance to different spectrum bands
- Signal generation and signal analysis test solutions to prepare for 6G
