Christina Gessner

Christina Gessner

Christina Gessner is Executive Vice President of the Test & Measurement Division at Rohde & Schwarz and member of the company’s Corporate Management team.

Christina's journey with Rohde & Schwarz began in 2004 as a technology manager. By 2011, she was leading Product Management for Spectrum and Network Analyzers and took over the role of Vice President of Spectrum & Network Analyzers, EMC and Antenna Test Equipment in 2018. In 2023, she moved to her current role.

Christina started her career at Siemens mobile communications, representing the company as a delegate to the 3GPP standardization process for UMTS and GSM/EDGE from 1998 to 2004.

She holds a degree in RF engineering from the University of Hannover, Germany.

Reiner Stuhlfauth

Reiner Stuhlfauth

Reiner Stuhlfauth is a technology manager wireless from the Test & Measurement Division of Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. Before that he worked as trainer and has more than 20 years experience in teaching and promoting mobile communication technologies in the background of cellular standards and non-cellular technologies. He is involved in several projects concerning 5G, 5G advanced and 6G research activities.

Reiner has presented at a plethora of conferences and events, he has published several technical documents, webinars and he is one of the authors of the R&S technology book “5G New Radio – fundamentals, procedures, testing aspects”. He holds the academic degree of engineer in telecommunications (Dipl.-Ing) issued by the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.

Goce Talaganov

Goce Talaganov

Goce Talaganov is a Market Segment Manager for wireless device testing at Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich, Germany. In this role, he is responsible for understanding customer requirements and promoting the related solutions in the device testing ecosystem. Before joining Rohde & Schwarz, he had 15 years of professional experience leading product management and business development teams specific to device testing in the lab and live networks, focusing on 5G, IIoT and automation. He holds various patents in the testing field regarding emergency calling, IoT, 5G testing and eSIM. Goce holds a Master of Science (MSc.) in Communication Systems from the School of Information and Communication Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, Sweden.

Obilor Nwamadi

Obilor Nwamadi

Obilor Nwamadi (Obi) is a senior product manager for Viavi Solutions with responsibility for 3GPP features, especially for the strategy and gtm for NTN and RedCap product lines. He has over 17 years’ experience in the wireless communication industry and has worked in diverse roles such as academic & applied research, systems/test engineering, product development and product management. 

Yvonne Weitsch

Dr. Yvonne Weitsch

Dr. Yvonne Weitsch serves as the Market Segment Manager for Aerospace & Defense at Rohde & Schwarz, where she oversees the satellite testing application segment. Her responsibilities include shaping business strategies, driving business development, and implementing strategic marketing and sales initiatives.

Dr. Weitsch earned her Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich. Throughout her tenure at Rohde & Schwarz, she has held several key positions, including Project Leader, Development Engineer, and Technology Manager, with a specialization in antenna measurement techniques and near- and far-field transformation technologies.

Klaus Schilling

Klaus Schilling

Prof. Dr. Schilling had in space industry responsibility in Earth observation and interplanetary satellites (HUYGENS, ROSETTA, Mars Rover MIDD) , before he was appointed professor and chair for Robotics and Telematics at University Würzburg. He leads the independent research company "Zentrum für Telematik". As founder of S4 - Smart Small Satellite Systems GmbH, his emphasis focuses on small satellites and multi-satellite systems. His team built Germany's first pico-satellite UWE-1 already in 2005. He was consulting pofessor at Stanford University and received numerous international awards, including 2021 the Eugen-Sänger-Medal, 2022 the Bavarian Constitutional Medal, and 2023 the Frank-J.-Malina Medal of the International Astronautical Federation.

Alexander Spaniol Terma

Alexander Spaniol Terma

Alexander Spaniol is an RF engineer at Terma Technologies with expertise in Software Defined Radio (SDR), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and Satellite Communications. At Terma Technologies, Alexander works on SDR developments and RF-SCOEs.

Alexander contributed to the Austrian PEGASUS mission as a Satellite Communications Engineer and was involved in research on SDR-based satellite ground segments. He holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. His interest in RF technology began with amateur radio, which continues to be a passion.

Pia Feurstein

Pia Feurstein

Pia Feurstein joined Rohde & Schwarz as a Technical Sales Manager for Satellite Intelligence in 2025. Her previous experiences in the space industry span various stages of growing a company: from guiding ideation within government-funded space idea competitions, to evaluating business plans and consulting startups with their technical and business development at ESA‘s Business Incubation Centre. At OroraTech, she contributed to the company’s scale-up phase, acquiring and leading activities in satellite-based data solutions for governments and institutions in Europe, such as through the Copernicus Contributing Missions and the Greek National Satellite Programme.

Jean-Pierre Messmer

Jean-Pierre Messmer

Jean-Pierre Messmer is a product manager in the signal generator department of Rohde & Schwarz where he is responsible for satellite communication applications. He has a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with a specialization in communications engineering as well as an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieur.

Uwe Bäder

Uwe Bäder

Uwe Baeder studied physics and electrical engineering and holds a physics diploma from the University of Kaiserslautern. He joined Rohde & Schwarz in 2000 as standards engineer and represented Rohde & Schwarz in various international standardization groups for wireless communication. He is now Director of Public Affairs. His interest is especially focused on digital policy and regulation.
