Lufthansa, one of the world's leading airlines, has modernized the flight operations communications infrastructure at its major hub locations in Frankfurt and Munich. This project focused on implementing a state-of-the-art solution capable of delivering modern radio over IP (RoIP) services for vital VHF radio communications with pilots.

Techno Sky

Techno Sky and the Italian CAA (ENAC) collaborated on a drone-based solution for inspecting airport Instrument Landing Systems (ILS). The research tested replacing traditional ground check vehicles (GCV) with a multi-copter drone equipped with a Rohde & Schwarz R&S®EVSD1000 receiver, aiming for a more efficient inspection process.

HungaroControl

HungaroControl ordered seven R&S®DF-ATC-S direction finders & a positioning server from Rohde & Schwarz to enhance ATC capacity. Driven by increased traffic & free routing, the system delivers vital pilot-controller communication for safe airspace management in Hungary & Kosovo.

Airways New Zealand

The CERTIUM VCS-4G full IP voice communications system was selected by Airways New Zealand as the new nationwide ATC communications system based on its flexibility, scalability and reliability. Following the successful factory acceptance of the system at the Rohde & Schwarz integration laboratory in Australia in July 2019, the rollout is already under way.
