We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to promote Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) solutions for high-speed digital design and testing to customers in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate deep technical expertise and knowledge of the industry with a high degree of customer engagement. Although this position is rooted within the Industrial, Components, and Research (ICR) market segment, this person will collaborate with the other members of the business development team, sharing information to help position solutions to other market segments.

Your tasks

  • Effectively communicate to RSA Sales teams and customers how R&S products can provide solutions in several key areas such as Signal integrity of interfaces, PCBs, and interconnecting cables as well as reference clock and SOC test
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide technical support and training to Application Engineers in sufficient detail and depth to be a go-to resource in the key areas listed above
  • Execute account strategy for a set of strategic accounts that are important to the success of these applications and market segment. This could include collaboration with R&S resources in other parts of the world where a strategic account has engineering or production activity
  • Provide input and feedback and implement growth activities in close alignment with the worldwide Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, R&D, and Service organizations
  • Develop a business strategy that outlines how R&S products can address current and future trends in this ICR market sub-segment

Your qualifications

  • BS or MS in a technical area (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
  • An in-depth understanding of the key technologies and applications listed above with the ability to effectively communicate with customers on a technical and business level is required
  • Experience, sales success, and connections to the target customer base is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success with account team collaboration and account development is preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% with occasional international travel; remote work location can be anywhere with reasonable air travel options; however the California Bay Area, Seattle WA, or Austin TX are preferred.
  • To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $148K-$240K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
