Systems Engineering : Field Service Engineer - Secure Communications

Your tasks

• Install, maintain, and repair secure communication systems and equipment on naval vessels and at shore facilities.
• Collaborate with customers and product management/development teams to address and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to communication systems, including HF/VHF/UHF radios, modems, and network infrastructure.
• Assist in the setup and operation of communication systems during naval exercises and missions.
• Develop designs and documentation that align with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades in accordance with Navy standards.
• Provide training and support to Navy personnel on the proper use and maintenance of secure communication equipment.

Your qualifications

• BSEE, MSEE, technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience in naval communication systems
• RF system deployment experience
• Knowledgeable of communication systems and equipment, including radios, modems, and network infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques for analyzing various systems.
• In-depth knowledge of HF/VHF/UHF military radio communications.
• Experience with IP networks, RF waveforms, and modems.
• Ability to work effectively in challenging environments, including onboard naval vessels and remote, CONUS and OCONUS, locations.
• Willingness to travel, at times exceeding 50%, and work flexible hours as required by naval operations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be a U.S. person capable of obtaining U.S. Government security clearance

The total compensation for this position is $90K-$130K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
