In the frame of our growing Defense Project business in Portugal, we are looking for a highly motivated Sales Engineer responsible for developing new opportunities in the Naval, Tactical and Airborne Communications, EW, Critical Infrastructure (ATC) and Monitoring & Analytics (SPM & MRA) industry while achieving the agreed sales targets. The position is open in Lisbon and requires physical presence.

Your tasks

  • Keeping and Creating sustainable valued relationship with our Defense key governmental and industrial customers while achieving annual business target.
  • Focus on developing new opportunities in the Naval, Tactical and Airborne Communications, EW, Critical Infrastructure (ATC) and Monitoring and Analytics (SPM & MRA) industry.
  • Consulting with customers to understand and address their technical and business requirements with R&S solutions / services that meet their needs.
  • Managing and closing sales opportunities discovered as a result of account initiatives through collaborations with internal and external resources.
  • Establish agreements with distributors, partners and third parties (system integrators), necessary for the success of the business.
  • Planning and executing account development initiatives to generate demand in the key account.
  • Follow up of public and private tenders. Prepare Sales Quotations in collaboration with HQ.
  • Align annual business and sales strategies and targets with Company's business strategy and objectives
  • Align customer and R&S roadmap to develop potential collaboration initiatives
  • Building a clear picture of potential opportunities at the assigned accounts to drive solutions and product development on priorities within R&S.
  • Maintaining and updating list of opportunities in the Company CRM system

Your qualifications

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or relevant field of studies.
  • At least 5yrs experience in Sales in Defense and Government industry.
  • Solid experience in public tendering and bidding processes.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Native Portuguese. German, a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial perspective, able to understand the business, trends and relevant markets and to take on an entrepreneurial perspective.
  • Customer focus: able to build sustainable and strong relationships with customers, to understand and anticipate customer´s needs and to take actions to fulfill these needs.
  • Target-driven and Result-oriented.
  • Confident and proficient when working in an international company environment
