Rohde & Schwarz's IT team is looking for an intern with fresh eyes and an analytical mindset to help evaluate and improve operations across three technical services. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career in IT support or management who wants firsthand experience of how a regional IT team operates within a global organization and to drive process improvements that generate concrete data points for their resume. The intern will also gain exposure to a range of technologies and platforms, collaborate with a skilled, multi-level team, and apply practical skills learned in school.

Your tasks

Track and report on performance of multiple technical services in the ITSM tool (ServiceNow)
Work with SMEs on technical process documentation
Analyze cases and key indicators to identify patterns, trends, or deviations
Propose and document process improvements for service delivery
Assist in data collection for compliance related activities
Analyze internal customer satisfaction trends and develop remediation plans

Your qualifications

Rising Jr or Sr year in IT or related field
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Working knowledge of end-to-end IT processes and lifecycle, including account provisioning, application development, hardware lifecycle management, documentation, and monitoring.
Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and reporting (ServiceNow preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
Summer resident of the greater Columbia, MD area. We are unable to provide housing or relocation for summer interns
US Citizen or Permanent Resident

This is an hourly position, paying $22-$27/hour, minimum of 30 hours per week.
