5G New Radio (NR) is the first standard to utilize the mm-Wave frequency region. The highly integrated frontends and array antennas necessitate advanced over-the-air testing methods and novel RF test metrics for the current and future mobile communication assessment. Such test metrics include virtual cable calibration for throughput testing, spherical coverage requirements and over-the-air testing for mm-wave frequencies.
