5G Broadcast live experiences and future-ready technologies
IBC 2025 was a resounding success for Rohde & Schwarz, as we demonstrated the transformative potential of 5G Broadcast technology and showcased solutions for the evolving broadcast landscape.
Our stand was a hub of activity, centered around live demonstrations within the Rohde & Schwarz Innovation Theatre. Attendees experienced how 5G Broadcast enables the instant delivery of critical alerts – including text, images, and live video – a vital capability for public safety. The Innovation Theatre also hosted engaging sessions exploring key topics like business models and monetization strategies for next-generation broadcasting, with highlights including a presentation on the One Year 5G Broadcast Task Force’s achievements, as well as ATSC 3.0 deployments in the USA and Brazil.
Beyond 5G Broadcast, we showcased our high-performance, energy-efficient TV and radio transmitters, designed to support the latest standards and future-proof broadcasting operations. We also highlighted our solutions for enhancing satellite transmission, including the R&S®PKU100 Ku-band uplink amplifier. This resilient and cost-effective amplifier provides a straightforward upgrade path for existing systems, modernizing ground segment infrastructure and ensuring reliable operation.
