Rohde & Schwarz offers a comprehensive solution to address the challenges of DisplayPort cable compliance testing. Our offerings include cable testing for both DP2.1 and formerly referred to DP1.4a data rates (HBR3), categorized under specifications such as DP80 (UHBR20), DP54 (UHBR13.5 and UHBR10), and DP8k (HBR3). The testing is done with our powerful Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) such as the R&S®ZNB3000 or our multi-port R&S®ZNBT.

  • Method of Implementation: this detailed document explains exactly what you need, how to do each test, and the pass/fail criteria for each test.
  • In-depth analysis tools: such as the time domain (TDR) (K2) which allows for easy transformation from the frequency domain to time domain with many formats and windowing options. As well as extended time domain analysis option (K20) which enables a simulated eye diagram to be used to show what an eye would look like going through the cable under test.
  • Accurate test fixture characterization and de-embedding tools: such as the K210 (EZD), K220 (ISD), or K230 (SFD) de-embedding options. They are fully integrated within the VNA firmware and guide the user through the required measurement steps to calculate the fixture models and mathematically remove them from the measurement results. De-embedding shifts the reference plane to the DUT and allows to accurately characterize the Device Under Test (DUT) without the test fixture.
  • Support for the latest standards: Solutions keep pace with the latest DisplayPort standards DP2.1 and its associated data rates (UHBR20, UHBR13.5, and UHBR10).
