Rohde & Schwarz North America is expanding its sales management team in the Test and Measurement division. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Region Manager located in the Southwest with the focus on key and geography accounts across the aerospace & defense, wireless, and general electronics market segments. This Region Manager will be responsible for meeting their quota through leading, developing, coaching and mentoring their sales and support team.

Your tasks

  • Exceed sales quota through the direct management and leadership of a high-performance sales team.
  • Maintain a strong focus on expanding and growing our business with new customers
  • Collaborate with all surrounding team resources including Business Development Managers, fellow Region Managers, Sales Specialists, Product Marketing, Industry Segment Managers and Channel Partners.
  • Recruit and build a highly motivated, hunting-oriented sales team that aligns with our objectives, goals and culture.
  • Personally develop and maintain senior-level customer relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Prioritize your time on high-impact activities that enable, train, develop and grow your team.
  • Assist all sales team members in their understanding and use of a well-defined sales process and prospecting techniques.
  • Ensure the consistent use of our CRM system (sales funnel, contact management, activity logging, leads, etc) and all other communication and productivity tools.
  • Maintain focus on Key Performance Indicators to ensure sales and business development objectives are met in all market segments.
  • Consistently coach all members of your team by way of regularly attending field customer visits and other activities.

Your qualifications

  • >7 years of combined sales management/sales experience of complex, technical accounts
  • BSEE (or equivalent)
  • An understanding of trending RF, radar and digital industry technologies and testing applications
  • A strong team player who is creative, goal oriented, customer focused and an effective negotiator.
  • A leader who motivates team members to constantly be looking for new business and growing our customer base
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has the ability to travel regularly within the sales region (up to 40%) in addition to some national and international travel.
  • Embraces and thrives in an environment of change, especially with respect to new technology such as emerging communication and collaboration tools.
  • Brings innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills to all situations.
  • To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $173K-$250K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
