Airborne solutions since 1968
Rohde & Schwarz has developed airborne transceivers for demanding radio communications since 1968. Many of these analog transceivers are still deployed today by armed forces worldwide. After decades of use, they continue to provide reliable radiocommunications, proving the Rohde & Schwarz promise of quality, reliability and robustness throughout a system’s lifecycle and beyond.
The R&S®M3AR family of software defined radios (SDR) has proven its value in deployments around the world since 2000. Multiband VHF/UHF SDRs are designed for line-of-sight avionics communications and their compact and lightweight design makes them suitable for all types of aircraft.
SOVERON AR is the newest member of the airborne radio family and certified in line with MIL-STD-704F, MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461F to minimize the need for additional platform-specific qualifications. SOVERON software defined, multiband airborne transceivers from Rohde & Schwarz have modular designs and state-of-the-art technologies. This leads to long mean times between failures (MTBF) and greater longevity. Their different waveforms can be installed at any time for interoperability in many scenarios.
