このドキュメントは、2つの部分に分かれており、最初にAD/DC変換の一般原理について紹介します。また、さまざまなパワーレベルに使用される最も一般的な回路を紹介します。エレクトロニクスの至る所で使用されているスイッチング電源（SMPS）コンバーターに重点を置いて説明します。特に、さまざまなテイストのフライバックコンバーターの設計を取り上げて説明します。ただし、より高いパワーレベルで動作する他のSMPSコンバーターの設計にも、すべての測定を適用できます。このドキュメントのもう1つの部分では、AD/DCコンバーターの最も関連性の高いテスト方法とテスト手順にスポットを当てています。各テストセクションごとに、基本的な部分を最初に説明してから、適切な測定方法を紹介します。この第2部では、被試験デバイス（DUT）はブラックボックスデバイスと見なされているため、構造が類似しています。このため、テスト部分は、入力テスト、出力テスト、効率のような両方の組み合わせに関連する方法で構成されます。もちろん、出力リップルの検証など、コンバーターの出力で実行されるテストの中にはDC/DCコンバーターに適しているものもあります。
