“NAVICS is being deployed on numerous naval vessels, including the Royal Navy’s Type 26 frigates and was on display at the recent Pacific 2019 exhibition in Sydney.” NAVICS uses state-of-the-art VoIP and Ethernet standards. Following market tendencies Rohde & Schwarz has decided to abandon outdated TDM technology, which required heavy proprietary hardware.

The Spanish Ministry of Defense (MoD) has ordered the construction of five new F-110 Bonifaz-class multi-mission frigates by Navantia. They are specialized in anti-submarine warfare and will be used for force and fleet protection, maritime security, joint and combined missions and to prevent conventional asymmetric threats.

The German Navy’s F125 class frigates are primarily designed for low and medium intensity maritime stabilization operations, for which the German Navy adopted a dualcrew concept. The advanced technology of these frigates enables intensive use with up to two years of standing time in the operational area without a planned shipyard stay.
