新しいソース・メジャー・ユニット（SMU）2機種を投入し、試験・計測技術の専門企業ローデ・シュワルツによる電源製品としてこれまで取り組んでいいなかった市場に参入します。この新しいSMUのR&S NGU201とR&S NGU401がもつ性能は、電流と電圧を供給しながら同時に高精度な計測を可能にします。2象限モデルのR&S NGU201は、ワイヤレス機器のバッテリ試験に対応し、任意に設定した正の入力電圧においてソース・モードからシンク・モードへと自動的に切り替えます。一方の4象限モデルR&S NGU401では、これに加えて負の電圧での切替えが可能であり、非常に広範なタイプの電源供給に対するソース計測に応えます。

With two new source measure units (SMU), Rohde & Schwarz enters a market previously not addressed by the power products of the test and measurement specialist. The performance of the new R&S NGU201 and R&S NGU401 SMUs enables simultaneous sourcing and measuring of currents and voltages with high precision. The two-quadrant R&S NGU201 addresses wireless device battery tests and automatically switches from source mode to sink mode at a defined positive input voltage. The four-quadrant R&S NGU401 can also switch at negative voltages, supporting source measurements for a vast range of power supply types.

Rohde & Schwarz showcased a proof of concept for testing far field wireless power systems at the IEEE Wireless Power Technology Conference and Expo (WPTCE) in Kyoto, Japan. The radio frequency (RF) wireless power tester developed by Rohde & Schwarz utilizes the company’s test and measurement equipment along with wireless charging development kits available on the market. It also includes test automation features and a user friendly web interface. With this setup, Rohde & Schwarz supports the AirFuel Alliance RF Standard.
