Rohde & Schwarz’s Technology System division is expanding our world-class high-power amplifier technology into additional markets and seeking an inspired business leader to help us execute this strategy. This director level position will have global responsibility for R&S’s Radio Frequency Plasma Generation application segment. Candidates will demonstrate excellent business acumen, have experience in semiconductor fabrication, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The preferred location for this position is the Bay Area, California, with exceptional candidates from other locations considered.

Your tasks

  • Be accountable for successful performance and operating results of the business unit.
  • Manage staffing, go-to-market strategy, develop business plans and ensure their sustainable implementation.
  • Be responsible for sales strategy, product and solution portfolio, KPI’s, pricing, sales, and proposal development.
  • Build a highly motivated, results-oriented team that aligns with our objectives, goals and culture.
  • Personally develop and maintain and international network of key customer relationships.
  • Ensure the successful execution of R&D and customer projects.
  • Coach organization on industry dynamics/competition, marketing requirements, and investment opportunities.

Your qualifications

  • BBA/BS in business, management, engineering, or similar degree. PMP Certification preferred.
  • Actionable personal network within the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven track record setting up new businesses and negotiating large contracts.
  • Strong team leader with management experience.
  • Strong cultural fit and comfortable working in diverse international environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally and internationally.

The total compensation for this position is $200K-$320K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
